One bride messaged me the night she got engaged — before she'd picked a venue, before she'd even told her parents which weekend — just to ask about wedding signage prices. I get some version of that question most weeks, and there isn't a straight answer for New Zealand couples anywhere online. So here are the real numbers, from what we're actually making and selling right now, in 2026.
Short version: a single welcome sign is $125–$165. A full package — welcome sign, seating chart, bar sign, a dozen table numbers, guestbook sign and cake topper — is $560. Here's how the rest breaks down.
Buying it piece by piece
If you're buying signs one at a time rather than as a set, here's what each piece actually costs:
- Welcome sign (3D acrylic): $125 (A2) – $165 (A1)
- Seating chart (acrylic): $130 for up to 50 guests, up to $320 for 151–220 guests
- Table numbers, set of three: $45 (A6) – $70 (A5)
- Guestbook sign: $18–$30 in acrylic, $22–$34 in mirror acrylic
- Gifts & cards sign: $18–$30
- Bar/drinks sign: from $15 for a simple menu panel up to $120 for a mirror acrylic his-and-hers cocktail sign
- Cake topper: $25–$56 depending on style and finish
- Wedding vows keepsake sign: $59.90
- Drink tags: $2 each
What actually drives the price
Three things move the number, and none of them are negotiable extras — they're just what the sign needs to do its job:
- Size. A welcome sign jumps from $125 to $165 going from A2 to A1 — worth it for a big marquee entrance, overkill for a garden ceremony.
- Guest count, for seating charts specifically. This is priced by how many names have to fit, not by how big the acrylic looks in a photo. A 50-guest chart is $130; a 200-guest chart is $320.
- Material. Wood and clear acrylic sit at the base price. Mirror acrylic (gold, silver, rose gold) adds roughly $3–$5 per item — it photographs beautifully under reception lighting, so we'd say spend it on the cake topper and skip it on anything that lives in a getting-ready room with flat light.
The five package tiers
Most couples don't buy pieces individually — they buy a package, because it's both simpler and cheaper. Here's what's actually in each tier:
- Elopement – $220: welcome sign, order-of-events sign, unplugged-ceremony sign, cake topper
- Classic – $360: welcome sign, bar sign, QR “capture the love” sign, six table numbers, cake topper
- Celebration – $480: welcome sign, seating chart, ten table numbers, guestbook sign, cake topper
- Signature – $560 (our most popular): welcome sign, seating chart, bar sign, twelve table numbers, guestbook sign, cake topper
- Grand Affair – $640: welcome sign, seating chart, bar sign, guestbook sign, gifts & cards sign, twelve table numbers, QR album sign, cake topper
Why the package is the better deal
Take the Signature package apart and price each piece separately — welcome sign ($125), seating chart for 80 guests ($180), bar sign ($120), twelve table numbers ($180), guestbook sign ($18), cake topper ($30) — and you land at roughly $653. The package is $560. You're not just buying convenience; you're saving close to $90 on the exact same set of signs.
Small wedding or eloping? You don't need the same list
If you're eloping or keeping the guest list under about 30, skip the seating chart and table numbers altogether — there's nowhere for them to do their job. The $220 Elopement package (welcome sign, order-of-events sign, unplugged-ceremony sign, cake topper) covers what a small, intimate day actually needs, and nothing it doesn't.
One number worth knowing early
Prices are only half the planning question — timing is the other half. NZ couples book venues for Nov–Mar weddings six to twelve months out, which means signage orders need to go in well before the big countdown apps start sending notifications.
